The equations are great, the theory is nice, but it doesn't explain the experienced sonic effects of the materials.""Then why would you believe a vendor who produces wild and crackpot theories to support a product line???
Why would you believe resonance poppycock, which is actually a measure of the wire inductance feeding a resistor/capacitor load?
Why would you believe speed of propagation poppycock, when it has no bearing on the topic?
Why would you go to a technical forum and ask about induction, clearly a technical item, when you do not wish to use it to explain audibility??
Why do the vendors GIVE you technical theories and equations (well, I assume there's gotta be a vendor out there who actually posts an equation or two..)
Rhetorical questions, of course..I'm glad you posted and asked...
What is being provided you by the vendors is hit and miss. A whole lot of the tech sounding garbage you will read on sites like that is just that...garbage. You, as a non geek, probably do not have the background to make sense of it all, nor decide if any of it is claptrap, all of it, or just part of it..
Correlation between the physical parameters of the cables and audibility within various systems will eventually happen, but it will not be as a result of a vendor's work, as they have to pay the bills.
Cheers, John
