I couldn't find anything on the cardas page talking about silver as you mentioned..but I did look up how to measure ringing..Boy, is their site misleading.
Look at the crosslink/#12 comparison..the M line seems to show crosslink in a good light..less "ringing", less difference.
But wait, further down they mention the line inductance...2 plus microhenries vs .5 microhenries, both driving a capacitive/resistive load. This has nothing to do with a "ringiness" attribute, it only has to do with the series inductance of the wire. If you carry their argument through, they should be using a .1 uH ten foot length of cable. That's easy, I can make a wire that measures MUCH better than their crosslink...but it's a contrived test, designed to show lower inductance wires as better..
