Frank gave me the wire harness with the silver cartridge clips in a separate plastic bag. The RCA plugs had been soldered to the preamp end of the wires. If I had wanted the original thin, fragile wire I would have had to send the arm back to Frank.Since I have no soldering skills, a friend threaded the wire thru the arm and soldered on the clips. He said it was a very easy task.
Unfortunately, since I got the new wire installed, I have not had time to put the Schroeder back into my system. I have been working seven days a week and just have not had the time. Thus, I can not comment on the sound differential between the thin wires and the Valhalla. Frank says that they are very close, though only after the Valhalla has been cryoed. Frank says that removes a little brightness on top.
