...a huge marketing venture with full page ads everywhere bilking the uninformed and aged out of their money for a poorly performing product.

You can buy much better sound for less.

So it irritates the audiophiles who prize quality sound.

In the 1970s the 901 speaker could play really loud and was impressive but didn't have much in the way of highs or bass.

And all that reflected sound from the walls makes imaging very tricky and wierd.

It was more of a gimmick like all of their slick marketing today.
