Bose is really good if you listen to music in the background and want to impress friends/family with sound. Bose speakers are absolutely good for people who love to have fun, rather than enjoying the music. I have them in my older system, where they are just played for parties and get-togethers. People get impressed by them and that's that. I purchased them long time back when I was ignorant of "acoustic" music. But since I started getting more interested in acoustic music (non-sysnthesized??), I am not drawn to them. They sound non-realistic. And as someone rightly mentioned that they cost more than what they really should actually cost.Hope you got the point I am trying to make. If you are an audio-enthusiast, then don't get a Bose system. You can do much better spending less or equal. But if you are the person, who wants to have fun, impress your friends and music is not-so-critical to you, then I would suggest that you get Bose rather than anything else....even though it means that you will spend more dough.
