what improves upon a Revox B77 MKII ...

81.86.68.49

Thanks largely to this forum and the regular R2R fans here, I finally gave a home to an old veteran (two track? half track?) B77HS MKII, which looks like it's seen its fair share of active duty, but nontheless has been spit & polished-up, checked over, realigned, prononced fit & able, and is once again ready for service.

...And yes, over the course of this week, I've slapped my balding forehead, and ruefully acknowledged I should have had one years ago. It just feels & sounds right, is a real event, and thankfully as far away from fffdigital processing as you can reasonably get to.

I am beginning to get a handle on what the Revox does and am hankering after more! Is there a fully serviceable/supported reel to reel machine that produces significantly better recording/playback quality (greater clarity, dynamics & frequency extension) at 7 1/2 ips?

Where have other Revox B77 users upgraded too?

Thanks

FW
