"Ever since, I have been facinated to investigate the causes of audible differences."I have been on and off fascinated with the causes. But every time I keep giving up on it and throw my hands up. It's too convoluted to me. I can't alter just the 7th harmonic and have a listen. In wine analysis you can add a precise amount of some exact chemical and check for its effect. Those things are more easily isolated. In audio, you change two dozen things accidentally trying to hear the effect of one. I think that is the main reason it's tweaky and hasn't progressed as fast as it might have.
So I prefer to take audio as mostly an art form. That's how I've dealt with it. But then again, it's not my job to know it all.
