This was for electrolytic caps, and not film caps.Actually I read elsewhere (http://www.muzique.com/editor.htm) that he said electrolytics should be biased to keep distortion down. I don't have the articles handy so I'm waiting to hear back from the person who does to clarify whether the increased distortion due to biasing was relating to films or electrolytics.
