If someone were actively "hostile" to SACDs that would be something worth noting and mentioning . . . and remembering, assumuing you didn't make it up.
Another audiophile stupidness. If anyone has any reason to be pissed at SACD it is because Sony did such an amazingly inept job of marketing the product -- putting out a flood of well-priced machines without bringing the software side of the company to the party.
Dollar for dollar, SACD does sound better than RBCD, not "amazingly better," but better. Anyone who says otherwise needs to have his hearing checked or stop using a boombox as his primary playback device. Sure, a five-figure CD player will probably sound better than a 3-figure SACD player. Does that prove anything?
If SACD dies it is truly a loss for audiophiles.
