I used to read BFS, and thought it was one of the better rags discussing audio, unlike either stereophile or TAS or sensible sound, etc. I didn't always agree with it, but I felt that it was honest. However, I would disagree with the SACD vs CD thing, at least on my modest system, SACD has a bigger sound with more weight and air about it, no contest. CDs in comparison are thinner and less musical, although I can enjoy them because of the music I want to hear, as do most of the great unwashed. But I think also that some people strive for different sounds from their systems, in effect tuning their systems to get a sound that they like, my friends system is much to hard and cold for me, but that is what he likes, imaging first and foremost, whereas I like a big sound...
