Yes. I have 16 ohm speakers hooked to the 8 ohm tap. The 300b's see 6400 ohms plate to plate. I effectively lose inductance (thus raising low frequency F3) but my system is bi-amped to sub-woofers at 100hz. Also, my guess is there is an abundance of inductance in that OPT.As far as I know from OPTs that I have tried. Global feedback extends the bandwidth."
I believe NFB extends the bandwidth of the circuit and requires an output transformer with good high frequency extension to start with.
This has a lot to do with the output impedance of the output tubes vs. the plate to plate load of the output transformer and the transformers shunt capacitance. Someone like Mark Kelly can explain this much better than I.Tre'
