on 300bs?As far as I know from OPTs that I have tried. Global feedback extends the bandwidth. Some OPT does not give any high frequencies unless Global feedback is added.
Obviously if the OPT is oscillating, global feedback can sometimes be impossible to apply. Those are the really bad OPT.
IMO really good sounding OPTs do not need any feedback to give good bandwidth and sq wave performance.

I think you are wrong about your above statement. Not all OPT behave the same in the same circuitry. Some OPTs do need more feedback than others to perform.
