hey brian,

please bear with me for a bit more.

I guess we need to figure out how to model this. The simple model put the losses as a resistor across the inductor and it is easy to see how this could De-Q the circuit, but i only see it de-Q'ing the inductance due to the lossy core and not the inductance due to air.

Is this a fair way to look at it.
