AC currents that is! Naz is right: AC currents pass through the grid at high frequencies, supplied by Cpg and Cgk (and also by transit time and other effects at very high frequencies, but we won't worry about that here). It is this AC current that can create instability by inducing voltages in reactances in the grid circuit, and this is why we need grid stoppers, at least sometimes.
