Given the popularity of Naks one is likely paying a premium for them somewhat above their true market value(classics economics here). But given the relatively small prices being discussed- World class components in the 400-800 range - the inflation is most likely relatively small. If it does what you want and looks good, Why not? I have the ZX-7, love it, sounds great - I'll say as good as a Dragon but minus a few features - just another unit to consider.Wes
Oh, and the crazy tape flipping mechanism on some Naks was, correct me someone if I am wrong, designed to keep the alignment true on auto-reverse decks. Strange, yes, cool, maybe, but sonically justifiable.
