Re: Get a Dragon. It's a no-brainer.

I think a lot of the high maintenance rap that you see written on the web is undeserved. It comes from a very few owners who try to get their decks serviced by people who don't know what they're doing. It's true that there are only a few really good Nakamichi service people in the US and they're not cheap. I use the one in Connecticut. But spending a couple of hundred dollars every fifteen years or so is a very small price to pay for having the best playback deck ever made. FWIW, my Dragon has worked perfectly since I bought it used on eBay last year.
