Danny--very curious about this comment. The only tape I cannot get my B215 to align is Maxell UDXLII from late 70s early 80s. Regardless, when I align for BASF Reference II Master I find the resulting sound too bright in the highe end--ie: brighter than the source. Is this the intended consequence of the tape design? I am thinking if I had a deck with manual bias control I could compensate for this. Thoughts?
