Mike,Good to hear from you. I have not come across DBX units - and I do not recall seeing one advertised for sale. I will do a net search - but what do they do as compared to flicking an onboard Dolby C switch?
It's early days, but in my system the 215 can not equal the astounding clarity, detail, transparency, dynamics and quietness of the CR7, but on clasical/acoustic music the 215 sounds warm, relaxed (presumable as a result of less detail) and most importantly to me... natural. The sound stage is rock-steady. LP's sem to sound more musical on the 215.
