Hi:
I have a STUDER A710 ( which is rack mounted ). I bought it second-handed and the deck did not power up. I check out the power supply and all the fuses are blown. It turns out that the electrolytic capacitors on the poewr supply sections all burst. Maybe the previous owner did not use a variac when powered it up after long storage. I replaced all those capacitors and the deck perform flawlessly after that but I believe it does need a TLC to bring everything back to normal. Yes, it has sweeter sound than the Nak ( DRAGONS ) that I have and I was told that the DOLBY circuits in REVOX/STUDER together with the TANDBERGs are the ones that really designed to what DOLBY supposed to be.
Since the deck has been racked mounted before so the front rail underneath the deck has been removed. I wonder anybody knows where I can be able to find a replacement rail. I do find the two rectangular mounts for the back. I was told it uses the same rail as the REVOX B710. Is the B215 uses the same rail as well. Right now I support the deck in the cabinet using four round wooden blocks. Much Thanks.Mike
