Given the variability of the system and acoustic (and let me add also the recording), the cable is one aspect of the system that we can take control and make it as linear as possible. I am not questioning the "pleasure" of trying different cables to see which sound best with the system, but the quest validity of never ending search for the perfect cable.
And how one would they got the most perfect cable unless they try every cable on the planet. And the quest would start all over again once there is a change in the system [or acoustic] as I pointed out in my original post.I bet you 100 to 1 that if you ever go to a professional studio, one will note thick ugly black cables (better know in electronic circles as industrial strength
) laying every where connecting components together. That is because they don't want coloration in their system. They want accuracy :)
