""waste of time I have seen in a while......You do the tests using gear adequate for the task and report back as you could have run the test in the time it took you to write a response to my post.....Tired of your game of watch my mouth not my hands as it is time to get to the meat..... ""RCI've just reviewed all your posts...You haven't introduced even one whit of technical information here...why do you bother???
Play word games with someone else...If you have anything even remotely resembling technical information, I am willing to listen..
But, alas...You've offered nothing that even remotely resembling an answer to the technical questions I've asked..So, what is it you are doing here???Running interference for John??? He's capable of speaking for himself...
Pay attention, Bob..Look down below, where John and I have actually connected w/r to a technical discussion..
For your edification...I will not blindly enter into a test regimen without fully understanding what it is I wish to measure, how I wish to measure it, what equipment is necessary, how to use the equipment, what the limitations of the equipment are, what SOTA is w/r to the equipment I am going to use, what the error sources are, and what the error budget is.
Too many times, I find that people use equipment they do not understand, in ways the equipment is not designed for, for purposes the designer of that equipment never intended..
If you need an example, look at a rectifier book, say motorola...Look for the diodes that have OPPOSITE VF temperature coefficients at various current profiles...you know, the old 2.2mV per degree C??..MOTOROLA states in their data book, even has graphs, that some of their product goes through zero, and the coefficient changes sign????Gee, it's motorola, it must be true!!!!!
Too bad they relied on a piece of test equipment that had a very heavy capacitance/sucessive approximation DAC system, and the oven door wiring layout screwed the measurements up...Now, we have data books filled with crap..The diodes don't do what the graphs say..VF tempco actually varies from about .85 mV/deg C (large injection) to 2.2 (small injection)...Doesn't invert, as their databooks say...
(Sorry, I realize I got technical there, as you've been very careful to not speak of anything technical).
As I've said...If you have absolutely anything technical to discuss, Im willing..
Cheers, John
