It's only a science if you go back over what you "tweaked" and take some real measurements. If you don't bother with the last step you haven't proved anything to anyone except yourself. If that's all that's important to you that's just fine, you can call it cheap jack science if you like, just don't expect any reasonably well educated person to call what you did "science".
