Maybe I should be asking what the heck are we really doing here? I fail to see how "branding" should have any relevance to anyone other than those who are just about buying. And I would hope those people would not be considered "audiophiles" - but alas given the apparent target for most "audiophile" magazines it's becoming harder and harder to differentiate between conspicuous consumers and audiophiles.
