Ok, so the PSR is very cool

so perhaps that puts jj in the "building things that sound good" group.

I've seen the the links before, but had forgotten about them. Has PSR been seen outside the lab yet?

BTW, it appears to be a good example of the "option 2" view of compression that I mentioned -- how much info can be crammed into a given channel, as opposed to how low can the transmission rate be driven?


How am I doing on the rest of the list? Did I get anyone else wrong?
