I know, it's just not that much more money after 10 years and I'd rather have the freedom. My 2015 MB Pro does feel like it's getting a bit slow to boot up and more power won't hurt. I'll be using Apple's "free money" and education discount, so why not? I do not want anything other than the one box, as I said, no extra boxes or cables, simplicity is a goal. If I was ripping my entire collection I would get the NAS, but it's never going to happen, even 1TB is more than enough. And, it will be passed on someday to the graphic artist in the family should she not have already surpassed it.
