Who can figure Apple out about anything (except for making gobs of cash). My main goal is to just get a one box solution with a minimum of cables and additions. As I said, I've given up on ripping, even though I have all the time in the world it gets too damn frustrating getting all the data correct. I know I'm a sucker spending a fortune on Apple stuff, but it works and I generally don't have to think about it.
