The velvet tweak was quoted from YBA, and I know it adds coloration to my system so I throw it into bin. I still call it a tweak since no tweak works the same in all systems, in my system it causes coloration, but it may bring benefit to others. I quote it from YBA so everyone can try out this cheap and non-invasive method to change the sound. Since this tweak is so inexpensive, it seldom causes psycological cost-related improvement of sound quality. As for the blind test, it depends very much on the sensitivity and experience of your audio friends.
Whether a tweak works or not also depends on the sensitivity and power of analysis of your equipment, especially your speaker, a tweak which may bring night and day difference upon WATT VI may not affect the sound of a Rogers LS3/5A that much.
