I was hoping for some real tweaks that actually work.We have our television sound set up with a Tandberg Troll amplifier and a pair of Royd Eden minimonitor speakers, with Radio Shack speaker cable connecting them. I put a couple of the bullnose tile pieces under the cheap cable, to keep it off the carpet, and got an improvement in the admittedly puny bass response.
I admit I've taken up watching way too much TV news since 9-11, and notice the improvement mostly in the theme music and during the childish car commercials with hip, pulsing, pounding music when I forget to hit the mute button.
However, this shows me the effect is not limited to specific amplifiers, speakers, or cable types.
