Could be tube acoustic resonances or RF noise.

All tubes are microphonic to some degree, and the internal elements have mechanical resonances. These can interfere with complex audio signals such as massed strings. I don't have experience with the 6922, but these and similar tubes have a bad reputation for sounding harsh. Their frame grid construction may be the reason.

Spurious tones from RF noise also mask the finer details in music. If you also suffer from excessive sibilance, mushy cymbals, dry midrange, vague bass, then you probably have RF noise.

This is a widespread problem and there is no simple fix for it.

Also, check your supports for the possiblity of mechanical chatter or ringing.
