But what constitutes quality as far as parts are concerned, price?
There are many OEM parts that are of high quality that do not cost nearly as much as the botique variety.
Some of the most important parts in a tube amplifier are the output transformers. And many of these manufacturers have good in house winders that help keep the cost down.
It would be nice if the question about parts quality would be defined.
I thought the main objective is sound quality, replacement tube availability, and reliability.
