Old 1940s Hammond model G organ amps have a dual section oil type power supply capacitor & other oversized parts that hold up well 50 years later. Audio transformer is a winner as well. It has cathode feednack windings. These amps require a mod to a SE input. I would also suspect old RCA theater amps from the 1940s are good design. The biggest enemy are old electrolytic & coupling capacitors. Of course, an easy upgrade to new with basic knowledge of circuits.
