It is wonderful! I did replace the Shugyang 6sn7's with some EH6SN7, out of the box there is a little bit of improvement so hopefully they will open up over time. Yesterday a pair of NOS Mullard cv4004 box plates arrived. I found them used in Audiogon & they are in great shape. I put them in for about an hour yesterday and oh man! did they bring things to a new level! I was running a pair fo NOS RCA's in there which were nice & fast but a little too bright at times. The Mullards showed deeeeep bass in my rig & smoothed the top end out very well, almost to a point where you forget that music is being played since there was no harshness at all. I tried the Sovtek LPS but they seemed to have some microphonics issues, I tried some HAL-O dampers which helped things, but the RCA & Mullards were better. I plan on getting a pair of the GT 12AX7 Mullard wannabe's in the next week. Once they get burned in ill post a review & compare to the Mullard box plates.
