Both are very nice tubes. The GT is a bit warmer and more laid-back on the top end. I find the tubes to be similar beyond that - not identical, similar though. Some say the Tung-Sol has better bass, some say the GT has smoother highs.I am coming to the opinion that which of these tubes you want to use is going to be very system/listener dependent. Not that you can make a bad choice, but some will prefer one, some the other.
I know, I didn't give you too much help - so if you can, try both tubes. If not, go with the Tung-Sols first, they're less expensive!
