Home Rocky Road

From Classic Rock to Progessive to hip hop to today's hot new tunes!

Of all the supergroups of the 60s/70s why have The Doors continued

to garner the least respect?
Morrison's vocals still are singular, affecting, and powerful, many of the songs are brilliant pop and rock efforts, and the musicianship in general ages well, eschewing much of the excess which makes much of that era's stuff hilarious.
I could imagine many Doors songs being released today and blasting to the top of the charts which I could not imagine for most of its contemporary bands' efforts.
(Ok, so I've visited the grave site twice...).
