My experience with the KM-84 was with a Stellavox and a Revox A700 (both 1/2 track running at 15ips). It just didn't have the 'smooth airy delicateness' quality of the Schoeps or the Sennheiser mics that I also used with those machines. Never used them through anything else into the 30ips Studer, though. So, there ya go. :)
