FWIW, I stopped at Radio Shack on the way to work today. They were nice enough to let me test their $19.95 adapter (Radio Shack brand) without buying it. Same problem, clicking noise less often, but still the same problem. I'll keep looking. Maybe I'll try wireless. The only time I tried wireless before was with a cheap unit, and I could hear a high-pitched sound with music on and off. The guy at Radio Shack said Monster makes a good one, with filters built in, but it's $50 bucks. Thanks!
