Re: Thinking About Getting a Reel-to-Reel

The 2300 series TEAC is a great mid-level, super-reliable, modest cost deck.

I currently have a TEAC 2300A for sale, 1/4 track- 7.5/3.75 IPS speeds. I refurbed it, when I obtained it, moving parts all gummed up, I worked on that, solvent loosend-up all the moving parts, and I oiled/greased everything. Now all tested, working/sounding fine, no output noises/ or sputtering on playback, good caps. I cleaned/oiled all 3 motors, and all moving parts (lifters, pinch assembly, idler arms) adjusted/cleaned/lubricated. Pinch roller rubber cleaned/rejuvinated, seems fresh and good. Most of life is left on heads. (70-80%) Ready to plug and play. Asking $109 on Craig's list now, but will accept an even $100.00 now to Asylum members.. I have photos, will emial...
