A Teac 2300 RTR is on the right track. Excuse the pun! I had one of these and used it for moving LPs to tape then to a CD. The Teac allowed me to get the levels right with different LPs. Sold it aolng with a Fisher 500 to raise $$$ for another bad habbit Skiing. Missed it and got an older Teac 1230.

It came old, dirty and damaged! A project. It cleaned up nice and I was able to repair it. Used it to make my Christmas CD from Lps. Came out well!

Here is my suggested list. I like Teacs. Built like tanks and have stood the test of time.
1. Teac 2300. Got a minty one for $100 with shipping. They are heavy but too heavy to ship. Made some great recording with it. Teac made a 2300R which has autoreverse.
2. Teac 4300. Made some tapes with it and got great sounding tapes here. Figure around $100 and up. Biggest problem is its big and heavy. Many Ebayers DONT know how to pack and ship. Paid $75 on a 4300 and got the original carton which the seller put in a larger carton. Expensive but it arrived undamaged. Total cost $275.
3. Teac 1230. My $37 project. These decks go cheap. Teac also made a 1250 version. Its auto reverse. I like the way it sounds. Took the place of my 2300. Missed it.

Good luck with your choices. Eric
