Another suggestion is the Sony WM-D6C Recorder - this also has the disc drive, amorphous head and very low wow & flutter. Using this machine to record your vinyl also removes any compatibility problems between machines. I have one (which I also use to record). On the other hand, one of the IPod family of MP3 players (I have the 60GB version) also sounds very good if you use the Apple Lossless codec, where the compression is only 1:2 and inaudihle in practice. I suspect that these 2 machines represent the best in their respective fields at present.
