I've never heard an IPod. It would be interesting to load it with good quality high-bitrate MP3s & find out what it really sounds like. Of course there are many codecs you can use to encode them and many bitrate options. And if you don't have a grasp on what you're doing you can easily make a crappy sounding file. It's not hard to learn though. Most of my MP3 listening is thru a computer built for use as a recorder/jukebox with a good soundcard, so the hardware is better than what they can cram into an Altoids-tin sized package.Happy listening & enjoy the tunes!
