AJinFLA,You asked me Why does it have to be a manuel switch of the wires?
Would it be faulty if done otherwise? No of course it couldn't be considered faulty if done other than manually. The reason I'm proposing manuel switching of the wires is to remove the ABX box and the addition set of interconnects it requires.
I realize that most, if not all proponents of DBTs believe the ABX box doesn't have an unique "sound" of it own. But the opponents of DBTs don't believe this. They feel the insertionof an ABX adds it's unique sonic characteristics to the test.
In an effort to remove one of the "problems" most opponents of DBTs have with the DBTs, i.e. the insertion of the ABX box and the additional IC it requires, I proposed manuel switching. This way the DBT is still valid and a major problem the opponents have with the DBT is removed!
Like I said before this is an attempt to find common ground and try to keep everyone as happy as possible. It's called compromise while insuring the integrity of the DBT remains. If you have a better solution, I'm ready to hear it...
