It is but I'm surprised how many people think once a door has been opened you've got a 50/50 chance of winning. Problem is what if instead of opening the losing door he offered you to take the two unopened doors. Heck yes then it's easy to see the 2/3 chance of winning if you accept the trade. For some reason opening the losing door seems to throw people off - it's exactly the same as getting a 2 for 1 trade - you already know for sure that one of the two doors is going to be a loser, why care which one?
