I had a few amplifiers and after a few years all got trouble with a torroidal transformer. One cause of saturation and insufficient isolation of the windings. Read a interview with parasoundman John Curl who knows the pro and contra of torro´s in comparison with the Ei and C and D core transfomers.Torro´s picks up lot of harmonics from our dirty AC lines very easily...and then on are useless for an amplifier specially tubes
Is his Otl T 16 gone play for only a few years and then run into trouble. Does the Atma have an Ei or C/D core taransfomer ?
