Now that I know what a "beast" amplifier is, it would seem you want opinions from someone who has experience with both the Rozenblitt Transcendent amps and the Atma circlotron amps. I've never heard or owned a Transcendent, but I had more than 20 years experience listening to Futterman type amplifiers prior to discovering Atma-sphere and the circlotron output stage (which to this day I have difficulty understanding in electrical terms). Anyway, Transcendent uses a "totem pole" output stage, a la the Futterman topology, and while I loved Futterman OTLs dearly, I must say that a good circlotron just sounds a bit better in every way to my ears. I've never looked back. However, in fairness there are some circuit differences between present day Transcendent amps and classic Futterman designs, so I can't be certain how the Transcendent would fair vs the Atma or circlotron type. Both types (or any OTL for that matter) blow away transformer coupled amps for driving my favored ESL speakers.
