Hey everyone! In my quest for a new amp, you guys have proven to be quite a cool crowd! I think its fantastic that there is so much enthusiasm over your amps, its great!
I have a question for anyone out there:
In my research of the Atmasphere amps, I've checked out reviews, listened to them (limitedly)and everything else. What I find constantly comming up again and again in the various reviews, is this issue of "lower treble emphasis". Jonathan Valin mentions it, Marc Mickelson mentions it, Paul Bolin mentions it, etc.
Now, I know that M.Mickelson was using the MA-1,II.2 with Wilson Watt Puppy v.6s; Valin was using Soundlab M1s, Maggie 20Rs, and Pipedreams with the MA2MKII.2; Paul Bolin was using Apogees with the MA1MKII.2. It seems to me that these are not easy loads to drive. Is this lower treble glare/brightness/emphasis anything you guys are familiar with in your systems, or is this possibly an incompatibility issue with the reviewers systems? I haven't heard the amps long enough when I have auditioned them to know.
Thanks,
David
