While I like Bach and Mozart as much as anyone, I cannot help but notice this discussion has focused entirely on classical music from Europe and, to a lesser degree, what little came out of the US. I would dearly love to hear Ravi Shankar and other classical Indian music on SACD and feel - stronly feel - his music would be well served by hi-rez recording. Same for Hamsa el Din and his classical Nubian music. These are complex sonics with vast overtones and harmonics. I've heard Ravi live on five occasions and have never felt RBCD came close to the true sound of his music. And while you're at it, give me Vladimir Horowitz - everything - on SACD.
Question: Would it even be possible to transfer - usefully transfer - the circa 1927 recordings of Pablo Casals on to SACD.
