Video is what the masses care about, and Video is what they are willing to spend money on. I see high-resolution Blu-Ray releases offer either live concerts or MTV style music videos with high resolution Surround Sound and Stereo.I don't see non-Video music coming out on Blu-Ray as you are right audiophile the market is not large enough. But it is large enough to support Classical SACD releases many, many years to come.
I personally look forward to Ballet and Opera Blu-Ray discs with high definition Video and high-resolution audio.
