I agree with Jon . I built his Diy bass traps 4 yrs ago . and the difference in mid and high clarity is not subtle . Also added bass , and mid bass warmth and clarity . I'm not talking boom , but real natural sounding bass .The problem untreated corners cause is that reflections from the corners bounce back into the room and mix with , modulate , and cancel certain frequencies . If you eliminate the corner reflections alot of problems go away all at once :) Thats probably over simplified but you get the gist . Bass traps good , reflections from corners bad .
