Now that it VERY GOOD advice from Jim. The real fun with your tube gear is that you truely get to play the field. And, you can look around for so many affordable deals on tubes wheather they be NOS or New Production. If you spend some time reading thru this forum, you will quickly see that everyone's system has different synergistic compliments from different tubes....and everyone's system is a matter of personal taste and sonic signature. I am the first to admit that my decades of playing with equipment and music has never been more fulfilling and brought me more enjoyment than the wonderful world of tubes. Without question....it is now about true harmonics, true timber, true sound stage, and absolute involment in the performance....So stay with it and enjoy the journey!Idler
