Cheaper prices, real guarnatees and matching to boot. Forget the hassle of NOS unless you are at a thrift shop and see a big ugly organ stocked full of tubes or a friend is clearing out a garage. NOS is a pain in the ass to obtain at realistic prices. A tube is a tube, as long as it is not noisy and it lasts a long time. Take a tube for what it is, its for power and reliability. Tubes make music any tube will do. Just enjoy the tube sound. Forget all this nostalgic BS. We are very lucky current tubes are in production. Buy modern tubes so the demand is still there. Imagine paying 300$ for a NOS Quad of Svetlana should they are go out of production.
